Respected numismatist D. Brent Pogue assembled the most valuable collection of coins and banknotes in history, with a market value well above $100 million. His paper money collection — all of it certified by PMG — includes 220 notes of remarkable quality and rarity, with many finest-known examples, including lots with special serial numbers, replacement notes and other great rarities. Pogue’s US Currency collection realized more than $9 million at auction in March 2020, with 27 notes exceeding $100,000 each.
View Gallery >PMG has certified hundreds of banknotes from this distinguished collection, which is focused on banknotes from Scotland and Northern Ireland issued in the 20th century. A PMG-certified banknote from Scotland led a January 2020 auction and realized $8,400, more than double its pre-auction estimate.
