NGC, NCS and PMG are in Europe and at Your Service

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) is a leading third-party authentication, grading and encapsulation service for collectible coins, tokens and medals. Founded in 1987, NGC has now graded more than 43 million collectibles.

An affiliated company, Paper Money Guaranty (PMG), was established in 2005 to provide similar services for collectible banknotes. PMG has now graded more than 4 million banknotes.

NGC-certified coins and PMG-certified notes are backed by the companies’ comprehensive guarantees of authenticity and grade, which provide greater protection to consumers. These guarantees, coupled with the expertise and experience of their graders, give buyers greater confidence, which results in higher prices realized and greater liquidity for NGC-certified coins and PMG-certified notes.

NGC and PMG are independent members within the Certified Collectibles Group (CCG) of companies, which also include Numismatic Conservation Services (NCS), a professional conservation service for collectible coins, tokens and medals. NCS has conserved more than 1 million coins in the last 18 years.

NGC, NCS and PMG have maintained a full-time presence in Europe since early 2008 to better serve collectors and dealers in the region. Over the last decade, the companies have steadily expanded their services and support in Europe. They now boast two locations: NGC International GmbH (NGC GmbH) in Munich, Germany, and NGC International UK Limited (NGC UK) in London, United Kingdom.

Beginning in 2018, on-site grading events in Europe have been offered on a regular basis. These events provide grading services with significantly faster turnaround times. The next PMG on-site grading event is scheduled for July 15-20 in Munich, while the next NGC on-site grading event is scheduled for July 29 to August 3, also in Munich. Submissions for these events can be made to either the Munich or the London offices.

Due to growing demand for both their on-site grading events and regular grading services, NGC GmbH recently relocated to a new office that is nearly four times the size of its old space. It has also hired additional employees, including a full-time banknote grader.

Besides their two locations, NGC, NCS and PMG have an Official Submission Center in the Netherlands as well as a network of Authorized Dealers throughout Europe. These companies can help collectors and dealers to submit their collectibles to NGC GmbH and NGC UK for certification.
