PMG Registry Featured Set: $100 Federal Reserve Note District Set

Posted on 19/10/2021

This month’s featured set belongs to KSAUSA.

Last month we enjoyed a quick visit to the UAE to view a colorful and comprehensive collection by a dedicated collector. This month, we relax at home to enjoy a truly remarkable set of $100 Federal Reserve Notes, KSAUSA’s $100 FRNs & Stars, found here.

As mentioned in a PMGnotes.com article here, many exceptional and rare PMG-certified high-denomination notes were just auctioned at Heritage’s Long Beach Expo sale from October 6-8. As such, we thought it fitting to honor a higher denomination set in the PMG Registry.

KSAUSA began assembling this particular collection back in 2016 and has been meticulously upgrading. His latest upgrade was just two weeks ago. To say 100% set completion is a challenge here is an understatement, as this set requires an example from every district, a star note from every district, mules and various seals, all the way back to 1928! When a collector accepts a challenge such as this, he is not racing for 100% completion; he is carefully looking for quality examples to appreciate and to display to fellow PMG collectors.

KSAUSA boasts 216 notes thus far and has taken the time to upload images of all of them! Outstanding! It is a true pleasure to view his comprehensive gallery here; be sure to check it out. He has added some interesting population facts for 116 of his notes as well. With over 40 other collectors participating in this popular set category, KSAUSA currently sits in a very comfortable first place.

Thank you, KSAUSA, for sharing your unique and extensive collection of $100 Federal Reserve Notes with us. We appreciate your contributions to the PMG collecting community and look forward to the PMG Registry set additions you have planned next!

Would you like your set to be chosen for a future article? 100% completion in a set is not always feasible. Our team features sets with thoughtful comments and images for their set descriptions and notes. It may be your set! Stay tuned.
